فرش ایرانی سرشار از نمادها و معانی است! این کلیپ نخستین کلیپی است که به مناسبت هفته‌ی فرهنگ و هنر ایران در سال ۱۴۰۰ در بروکسل منتشر شد. کلیپِ فرش ایرانی، محصول همکاری مشترک جعفر یعقوبی و مریم شفیعی است که در نماینـدگی جمهوری اسلامی ایـران نزد اتحـادیه اروپـا تهیـه و به مناسبت هفته‌ی فرهنگ و هنر ایران در اردیبهشت‌ماه ۱۴۰۰ در بروکسل منتشر گردید.

فرش ایرانی
فرش ایرانی، در درازنای تاريخ پر فراز و نشیب خود به صفات متعددی متصف شده است؛ عرصه‌ی هویت؛ عناصر زیبایی‌شناختی، گل‌های زیرِ پا، و اجناس مدرن. فرش ایرانی، یا پارسی یعنی اوج‌گیـری هنر در اوج تواضع و یادآور آن است که بزرگی، در افتادگی و نجابت در فرونت است. فرش پارسی هبوط عرش بر زمان است.
فرش پارسی محمل پیام‌هایی ظریف است. نقوشِ در هم تنیده‌ی این فرش‌ها تجسم خیال ملتی هزاران‌ساله است و بستری معنـایی برای انتقال معاني و سمبل‌ها از نسلی به نسل دیگر فراهم می‌کند.
یکی از عناصر مهم در فرش‌های ایرانی، طرح کشمیر یا بته‌جقه است. گفته‌اند که این طرح در واقع یک درخت سِدر خمیده است، و سدر همان درختی است که در بهشت کاشته شده است؛ درخت زندگی!
این درخت سِدر خمیده شده و گویی در آتش می‌سوزد؛ معنای نمادین این طرح به تصویر کشیدن ایران در خلال قرن‌هاست! کشوری که شاهراه تمدن بوده و بارها در معرض حمله خارجی قرار گرفته است. مهاجمين و غارتگران خارجی شاید گاهی توانسته باشند این درخت را به آتش بکشند، یا زیر فشار خم کنند، اما هرگز نتوانسته‌اند آن را بشکنند!
دفعه بعد که یک فرش ایرانی با طرح بته‌جقه دیدید، این نکته را به خاطر داشته باشید: ایران هرگز نمی‌شکند.
Iranian Carpets
Throughout their long history, Iranian carpets have been described as many things; sites of identity, aesthetic objects, the roses underfoot, and modern commodities. The Iranian, or Persian carpet is a humble transcendence of art, gentle reminder that the higher your soar, the more down-to-earth you better be; the nobler you grow, the humbler you shall become. Persian carpets are the firmament’s descent onto earth.
Persian carpets are also carriers of intricate messages. Through their interwoven designs, Persian carpets capture the artistic imagination of a millennia-old nation and provide a semantic canvas for transmitting meaning and symbols across generations.
One important element in Iranian carpets is the paisley design. Paisley, it is believed, is a bent cedar and cedar is the tree that’s planted in heaven; the tree of life! It is bent and seems to be ablaze in carpets! This bent cedar which is on fire has a meaning: it symbolises Iran across centuries! As a country at the crossroad of civilisations, Iran has been the target of many a foreign invasion! The foreign marauders have succeeded at times to burn this tree, or bend it under pressure; They have never succeeded in breaking it!
One message to remember the next time you see a paisley is this: IRAN WILL NEVER BREAK!
